This collection of articles combines memoir and historical analysis to invite readers to revisit the Tule Lake Relocation and Segregation Center in California. At its peak, more than 18,000 people who were labeled "disloyal" to the American state were detained there.The authors explore Japanese American evacuation from the west coast and relocation to the camp from evacuee and local perspectives. The work in this volume is new and original, utilizing many sources that have been difficult to access in the past.
